Patty Kempton Vice President 2014 | 
| MCLC Board Vice President, Ms. Kempton is Nursing Director for the Moore County Health Department. She holds a Political Science degree from Randolph-Macon College and a B.S.N from the University of Virginia, and currently is completing requirements for a Master of Public Health degree from U.N.C.- Chapel Hill. She and her husband live in Carthage, NC. |
Pat Motz-Frazier

| MCLC Board Secretary, Ms. Motz-Frazier retired as Executive Director of LifeStyles for Recovery drug and alcohol treatment centers and currently is Proprietress of the Old Buggy Inn Bed & Breakfast in Carthage. Previously she served on Betty Ford’s California Women’s Commission on Alcoholism and Drug Dependencies. Ms. Motz-Frazier has held board leadership positions for a number of addiction treatment centers. |
April Green Treasurer 2015 | 
| Ms. Green is a Business Services Officer II/Assistant Vice President in BB&T's South Central Commercial Banking Group. A past board member of the Moore County Homebuilders, she is a volunteer at the Moore County Food Bank and the Sandhills Children Center. An Aberdeen, NC resident, Ms. Green has a Business Administration degree from Campbell University and an Associate of Arts degree from Sandhills Community College. |

In addition to the MCLC Board, she is a board member of The Sandhills/Moore Coalition for Human Care, Family Promise of Moore County, and Southern Pines Rotary Club and is a member of the Steering Committee of the Moore County Leadership Institute. A graduate of Southern Illinois University, she currently lives in Whispering Pines, NC. |
Tim Burgess 2014

| Born in England, Mr. Burgess graduated from the University of Minnesota after serving two years in the British Army. He retired after 34 years in banking with Norwest Bancorporation – now Wells Fargo Co., and resides with his wife in Seven Lakes, NC. The couple has two adult children and two grandchildren. |
Steve Hurst 2014

| A retired Ernst & Young Senior Service Partner and CPA, Mr. Hurst’s career included assignments in Europe, India, Australia and a number of Asian countries, as well as the U.S. He holds several degrees -- MBA from the University of Chicago, BS, and Mechanical Engineering from Southern Methodist University and a M.A. in Theology and Ethics from Union Theological Seminary in New York City. The Pinehurst, NC resident is a Hospice Volunteer, a Director of the Sandhills Community College Foundation Board and an ESL tutor at Moore County Literacy Council. |

He is President of the Moore County Public Education Foundation and Junior Achievement. He serves as Treasurer of the Moore County Historical Association and the Southern Pines Business Association. He is a member of the Southern Pines Rotary Club and lives in Pinehurst, NC. |
Lee McGraw 2013

| Former Town Commissioner and current Mayor of Carthage, Mr. McGraw covers four area states as an Account Representative for Southern Software Company. He is Board Chairman of the Carthage Museum, a Rotary Club member and former Secretary, and a founding board member of the Vineyard Assembly Church in Sanford, NC. He also edits a newsletter for the local Harley Motorcycle Owners Group. He and his wife live in Carthage. |
Twana McKnight 2013

| A Brooklyn, N.Y. native, Ms. McKnight received a B.A. in Psychology from Duke University, after which she became Developmental Disabilities Case Management Supervisor at the Sandhills Mental Health Center. Currently she is a Retention/Assessment Specialist and Transition Coordinator in the Continuing Education Department at Sandhills Community College. A participant in the Moore County Leadership Institute, she currently serves on the Headmaster’s Advisory Council of Tabor Academy in Marion, MS, an independent high school from which she graduated. |

| Mr. Mills currently is Managing Director of Leighton Mills PLLC and Leighton Construction LLC. He has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and a Masters Degree in Accounting from the University of Michigan. He also has a law degree from the University of Chicago Law School. A member of the Board of Councilors of the Carter Center in Atlanta, he is Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the O’Neal School and is a past Senior Warden of Emmanuel Episcopal Church. He lives in Pinehurst, NC. |
Sandra Waterkotte 2015

| Ms. Waterkotte recently retired as Vice Chancellor for Advancement at University of North Carolina at Pembroke after a 30-year career in fundraising for the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Oklahoma and Michigan State University where she graduated with a BA in Communications. She and her husband live in Aberdeen and are active in the community. She serves on the Patient and Family Advisory Board of First Health, is a member of the Democratic Women of Moore County and tutors at MCLC. She chairs the Council’s Fundraising Committee. |
