Q: How are financial contributions from business and individual donors utilized by the MCLC?
A: Donations are used to help defray operating expenses, including the cost of our literacy education programs and learning materials. Every year we depend on our business and individual donors to help insure that we can maintain the quality of our literacy programs.
Q: Are there other ways that I can help the MCLC?
A: Absolutely. The MCLC participates in a number of fundraising events every year – check the Events section of our website on a regular basis for the latest news on upcoming events. In the past, our most popular fundraising event each year was our annual Spelling Bee for Literacy. In 2016 we debuted Reading Rocks. We encourage local businesses and organizations to consider sponsorship opportunities for each year’s major fundraiser.
